Things to note:
- The school year will be divided up into different themed sessions.
- Classes will be held in the art room.
- From 3:00-3:15 children can bring a snack to eat in the art room with The Art Spark teachers that is nut-free.
- Feel free to come in the lab after our classes and see what we have worked on! This is after you’ve picked up your child. (Projects are frequently wet or in progress and can’t be taken home the same day.)
- If you are running late or have a sick child, please be sure to text Miss Terri at 513-410-7960. *If there is a snow day, class will be cancelled that day. A credit for your class will roll over to the next session. We do not refund snow days.
All Saints Class Dates Mar 26, April 2, 9, 16, 30, May 7, 14, 21 (8 weeks long)
What is the theme?
The Fantastic Future!
Imagine what life will be like in the year 3500! What will our spaceships look like? How will we dress? Will we be friends with aliens? Sparklers will imagine, plan, draw, sculpt and create different aspects of how they think the world will look in the fantastic future!
Weeks 1 & 2 : Clay Spaceship Sculptures
Sparklers will learn how to slip, score, roll, pinch, and build a unique spaceship that can travel through space and time!
Weeks 3 & 4: Recyclable Robots
We will bring a variety of recyclables to class to assemble into amazing robots. We will imagine what these robots capabilities are before adding buttons, screens, wires and more!
Week 5: Room of the Future!
What will our rooms look like in the future? What room in our house will change or evolve the most? Will our kitchen automatically cook up whatever food we imagine? Will our walls be giant projectors? Will there be gravity in our homes? So many things to consider as we create detailed drawings of a room of the future!
Week 6 & 7: Paper Mache Space Helmets
In the year 3500 traveling from planet to planet might be as simple as a 10 minute flight. We’ll work to create protective headgear using paper mache, metallic paints, and more!
Week 8: Alien Paintings
What do aliens look like? Sparklers will draw and paint how they imagine these futuristic friends!
