Full Day Camps 9am-4pm - The Art Spark: A Creative Classroom

Full Day Summer Camps 2022 (6-10 yrs.)

Please note that most camps will fill during discounted period (before April 2, 2022.) There is a $15 cancellation fee that will be charged for any cancellations. If you cancel two or more weeks in advance (before the camp your child is signed up for) you will receive a full refund. If cancellation occurs less than two weeks prior to their camp you will not receive a refund or a credit. If cancellation occurs less than two weeks prior due to illness or an emergency you will receive a credit. Switching to a different camp with open spots is an option with no fee. Full Day Camp Itinerary

Week 1: June 6-10

Downtown Detectives
9AM-4PM
6-10 Years
Cost: $400 * Cost goes up to $435 after April 2, 2022
Daily Schedule:
Downtown Detectives 9am-Noon
Oh no! Someone has stolen the most precious Art Spark art material! Our beautiful shimmering gems have been stolen by none other than the Treasure Thief… Sparklers will band together to form a team of expert detectives to catch this mysterious criminal. Sparklers will build a detective headquarters where they can meet secretly and develop a plan of action! Will they need to make security cameras? Magnifying glasses? Binoculars? Wanted posters? Traps? It’s up to these junior detectives to solve the case!

Noon-1 PM Packed Lunch + Play

Watercolor Wonders 1-4 PM
There are so many unique and special ways to use watercolors! Plastic wrap and watercolor can create an icy cracked texture, vegetable oil dripped onto watercolors makes it look like raindrops, salt sprinkled over top makes tiny star shapes, and so much more can be created with these liquid paints. Sparklers will paint an icy northern lights picture, a starry night scene, a mixed media landscape and so much more this special week of camp!

Week 2: June 13-17

Mermaid Lagoon 9am-Noon
6-10 Years
What’s that far off in the distance, swimming through the cool blue waters of the ocean? Could it be… a mermaid! Sparklers will work together to create a sparkling underwater mermaid castle set in a blue lagoon! Who will live inside our castle? Will there be sea creatures and bubbles? What do mermaids eat? We can’t wait to begin creating costumes, murals, and so much more this magical week!

Noon-1PM Packed Lunch + Play

Pastry Chefs 1-4 PM
Yum! What is that delicious smell wafting through the air? It smells like the bakeries on the streets of Paris! Sparklers will sculpt, paint, paper mache, and even BAKE real baked goods during this delectable week of camp! We will work together to create our own bakery as we use acrylic paint, glitter, shaving cream, clay, Model Magic and so much more to create our sugary masterpieces!

Week 3: June 20-24

Daily Schedule:
Dog Spa 9-Noon
Do you have a muddy pup in need of some creative pampering? Come build the dog spa of your and your dog’s dreams! Will the pups love a shower that sprinkles dog treats? A manicure for their paws? A bubble tub filled with dog toys? The sparklers will make their own stuffed doggo and treat them to a day at the spa they build themselves!

Packed Lunch + Play Noon-1 PM

Dance Off 1-4 PM
Show your best dance moves and talents at our Art Spark dance off! Sparklers will come up with a choreographed dance as a team, but will get to make their own costumes, props, scenery and very own bedazzled microphone! We can’t wait to sing and dance to our heart’s content!

Week 4: June 27-July 1

Daily Schedule:
Glow Rainforest 9-Noon
Shhh… Can you hear the growl of a jaguar and the sound of monkeys swinging through the trees? I can! Sparklers will create their own wild and colorful rainforest where everything can GLOW in the dark! Will we need trees? Vines? Animals? Rain? We will use paint, clay, oil pastels, and glow in the dark materials to create a majestic forest!

Packed Lunch + Play Noon-1PM

Chaos Creators 1-4 PM
The chaos is out of control… and we love it! Sparklers will paint with feathers, noodles, spray bottles, flowers and hammers. We will be elbow deep in slime and glitter dough. We will marvel at marbled paper made with shaving cream and food coloring. Making paper mache pets will require some slippery slimy work but the mess makes it fun. Dress for the mess!

Week 5: July 4-8

Mount Everest Adventure 9-NOON
The cold bitter winds may be whipping around us as we trek up the side of the tallest mountain on Earth but, with our special gear created in our studio, Sparklers can conquer this feat! We will create a mountain range landscape complete with wild animals, waterfalls, boulders, and so much more. Campers will make tents, sleeping bags, tools, and more to beat the odds at hand!
