Full Day Camps 9AM-4PM

Camps are drop-off camps designed to help your child explore art materials, ask questions, learn answers, solve problems, and gain independence. Full Day Campers will have the opportunity to experience two different themed camps throughout their day, with an hour break at lunch.   All camps will be held at our Main Avenue location.

Week 1: June 1-5

Ages: 6-10 years
9 AM-4 PM

Daily Schedule: 
Sundaes & Sprinkles 9AM-Noon

Welcome to Sundaes & Sprinkles, the newest ice cream shoppe in town, opening this Friday! But wait! Campers will have their work cut out for them, as Sundaes and Sprinkles will need menus, a cash register, employee uniforms, a freezer, tables, a topping bar, and most importantly ICE CREAM! Sparklers will imagine all that is needed to finish creating an amazing ice cream store. On Friday, we will make a special field trip to UDF to get real ice cream!

Noon-1 PM Packed Lunch + Play

Sensational Scuba Divers 1-4 PM
 Let’s dive deep into the ocean to explore a world unlike our own! Sparklers will work to create scuba gear using art materials before painting and sculpting ocean animals, coral reefs, seaweed, seashells, treasure chests, and abandoned ships to explore in our studio. What else will we imagine in our ocean? Narwhals, jellyfish, angler fish, crustaceans, and mermaids? It’s time to dive into some fun!

Daily Schedule:

Glowing Lava Land 9AM-Noon
Lights out for this camp! We will paint an oozing obstacle course to avoid hot lava in our black light room. What obstacles will we create? A waterfall to swim through? Rocks to hop across? A rope to swing on? What will the animals and landscape look like around the glowing lava? Are we near an ocean? Sparklers will work to fill our room with lava that can glow in the dark, an obstacle course or maze to navigate, and everything we need to make it through!

Noon-1PM Packed Lunch + Play

Frozen 2 //1-4 PM
It’s time for Sparklers to go into the unknown and create artwork inspired by Frozen 2! Each day of camp we will hear the same sound that Elsa heard in the movie and receive clues about what kinds of Frozen projects we will create that day! What will we create? Olaf sculptures? Costumes from the movie? Frozen snowglobes? Sparkly icicles? Each day will unlock new Frozen fun!

Room Decorators 9-Noon
Sparklers will channel their inner Joanna to create decorations for their bedrooms. Will we want to create bulletin boards? Self portraits? Wreaths? Decorative Painted Names? Canvas Paintings? Garland? Throw Pillows? So many possibilities await!

The Art of Slime 1-4 PM
On the first day of camp we will brainstorm a list of different types of slime we imagine. What will we think of? Galactic Goo? Frozen Arctic Fluff? Birthday Sprinkle Slime? Glowing Lava Slime? Once we have concocted a list, we will create slime cookbooks to record our recipes as we create the most unique slimes in Art Spark History

Daily Schedule:
Build A Buddy Workshop 9-Noon
This camp will center around the art of sewing as we imagine and create a large stuffed animal, doll, or monster friend throughout the week. Once we have cut our templates we will create special button and fabric details. What clothing will our buddies wear? Do they have any special accessories, fur, pom poms, or crazy hair? We will complete camp by giving them a heart and whip stitching them together.

Paw Spa 1-4 PM 
Welcome to The Paw Spa! A Spa created specifically for your pet! Sparklers will begin by creating a very special stuffed animal to groom and care for at The Paw Spa. We will then focus on creating amenities for The Paw S pa! What will we need? A groomer? Nail trimming stations? Puppy showers and bird baths? A special snack station made for animals? Our furry friends will be in the lap of luxury at The Paw Spa!

Week 5: June 29-July 3

Clay Creations 9-NOON
We will begin by learning the basics in clay-making. We will learn how to create pinch pots, trapped-air form clay whistles, (yes they will really whistle!) and rolling out slabs. We will then imagine and brainstorm the types of clay creations they would like to sculpt throughout the rest of camp. Once we have determined what campers would like to make, we will focus on learning new techniques to create the sculptures they imagine!

Mermaid Ocean Island 1-4 PM
This camp we will become beautiful mermaids as we create full mermaid costumes. What will we need? Seashell necklaces? Metallic mermaid fins? Crowns?  Once we have embraced our inner mermaid, we will set out to build an ocean and an island. We will create wands that give us magical powers to transform us into human when we want to walk around our island. What will grow on our island? Tropical flowers? Fruits? Palm Trees? Join us for a fin-tastic time!

Week 6: July 6-10

Daily Schedule:
It’s a Small World 9-Noon
Sparklers will pick their favorite place (real or from imagination) to build on a miniature scale. We will draw or paint scenery, create functional props, and sculpt real characters to live in this miniature world. Will they create a magical forest with fairies and unicorns? A cityscape with superheroes and villains? An animal hospital with mini pets? Each Sparklers ideas will shine and take shape as then envision a world all their own!

Blast Off! 1-4 PM
5, 4, 3, 2, 1!!! It’s time to take a trip into the unknown…outer space! What will we need for this exploration? Astronaut suits? Helmets? Space food? Who will we meet on our journey? What planets will we explore? Sparklers will  paint, draw, sculpt and imagine the answers to these questions as they blast off into outer space!

Daily Schedule: 
Karaoke Kids 9-Noon
Let’s put on a karaoke show like no one’s ever seen! Sparklers will work with partners (or fly solo if they choose) to put together a karaoke show. We will work all week to create costumes to perform in, a stage, paint scenery, special lighting, curtains, and anything else they imagine for the ultimate karaoke show. We will perform our show on Friday!

Dinosaur World 1-4 PM
Let’s travel back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the Earth! Sparklers will arrive the first day of camp to uncover dinosaur bones in the dirt. We will then create a time machine to travel back in time to when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. They will then learn about the velociraptors, Tyranasaurus Rex, Birds, Triceratops, Pterodactyls, and create large paper mache sculptures of these amazing creatures. We will also work to create a habitat for their dinosaurs to live in.

Week 8: July 20-24

Daily Schedule: 
Tea Garden 9-NOON
Sparklers will work to imagine and create a beautiful tea garden inspired by the Japanese! We will paint pots, pot plants, make koi fish windsocks, and create beautiful scenery around our studio. We will also learn how to sculpt tea bowls. On Friday we will have a tea party in the beautiful garden we have created.

Coffee Shop 1-4 PM
The best part of waking up, is coffee in your cup! Or perhaps hot chocolate, a latte, or a special pastry in hand? Sparklers will imagine a coffee shop all their own and create everything they need to go with it. Will we need a logo? Menus? Sculpted pastries? Clay mugs? Get ready, we are training to be the best baristas in town!

Week 9: July 27-31
Ages 6-10 years

Daily Schedule:
Storybook Creators 9-Noon
Sparklers will learn the art of illustration and create their very own story with hand-drawn imagery. They will then practice valuable techniques in art and illustration such a sketching, storyboarding, shading and rendering, as well as painting with watercolors. By Friday we will have a bound-book masterpiece with a story straight from their imagination!

I Need a Hero! 1-4 PM
There is evil lurking in Art Spark City! The glitter, googlie eyes, and pom poms are all gone! Sparklers will train to become superheroes and create the gear and costumes to go with it. On Friday, they will work the catch the “bad guy” once and for all. What else will we need to create? A city scape painting? A jail cell for the glitter thief? It’s up to the Sparklers to decide!

Week 10: Aug 3-7

Daily Schedule:
Amazing Amazon 9-Noon
The Amazon is an amazing place filled with lush plants and wildlife! Sparklers will learn about this amazing place and the creatures that inhabit this space. They will then work to sculpt, draw, and create different aspects of this landscape. Will we sculpt poison dart frogs, and paint pink dolphins?  Build cocoa trees? and a massive anaconda? Let’s explore the AMAZING AMAZON!

The Rainbow Mystery 1-4 PM
Two different kinds of weather will hit The Art Spark on Monday inspiring both rain and sunshine projects. Following this, a beautiful rainbow will appear in our studio with a note at the end of it. A magical treasure will appear on Friday, if we can create a series of challenging rainbow projects to unlock a secret code. Can we refract light to make a rainbow? Mix all the colors of the rainbow? Learn about tints and shades? Much is left to be discovered as work to crack the code!
