St. Michael Classes

Our next session of classes beginning Dec 10 now has enrollment open!  The Art Spark is offering after school art classes to students at St. Michael School in Sharonville.  These classes will take place at The St. Michael School once a week.  Each class is 70 minutes long and on Mondays from 2:50-4:00 PM.   Payments for class should be made the first day of class or mailed to our business address. Our new session will run the following dates:

Mondays (6 weeks long) Dec 10, Dec 17, Jan 7, Jan 14, Jan 28, Feb 4 NO SCHOOL ON DEC 24, DEC 31, AND JAN 21 (MLK)

Arctic Escapades
Brrrrrrrr…get ready to get chilly this session!  This session will be all about freezing temperatures, icy adventures, snowy animals, expeditions to the North Pole, and much, much more!  Each week we will focus on a different aspect of the winter season. We will use a multitude of different art materials including but, not limited to: foil, paint, glitter, cardboard, fabric, Model Magic, watercolors, oil pastels, beads, pom poms, etc.

Week 1: North Pole Watercolor
We will start the class by using our imaginations to brainstorm all the different wonderful things you might find in the North Pole. We will use Sharpie to outline our magical drawings and use oil pastel and watercolor to make it come to life!

Week 2: Model Magic Christmas Candy Land
This class will be all about creating a magical land filled with candy canes, sugared gum drops, gingerbread houses, peppermint lollipops, and much much more. Students will receive a cardboard platform to build a magnificent Model Magic Candy Land that will go make everyone’s Christmas dreams come true!

Week 3 & 4: Arctic Stuffed Animals
Students will brainstorm different types of animals that live in the cold places of the world. Each student will get to pick a special animal to make into a stuffed animal! What do we need to make our animals? Felt? google eyes? poms poms? Sharpie markers? We can’t wait to get started!

Week 5: Icicle Castle Paintings
Imagine a magical land covered in ice. There is a magnificent castle that sits atop a mountain over this magical land. What does this ice castle look like? Who lives in the mysterious cold towers? Students will create their very own ice castle using tempera paint and glitter!

Week 6: Snowman/ Snowwoman Fashion Show
What does it look like when Snowmen put on a fantastic fashion show? Students will use cut paper and many different art supplies to create different snowman and women outfits! Let’s get this show on the road!

*If there is a snow day, class will be cancelled that day. A credit for your class will roll over to the next session. We do not refund for snow days.

How do I sign-up? Enrolling your child is easy on our website. Scroll to the bottom of this page and fill out the form below.
How do I pay? Payment can be submitted by hitting continue on our enrollment form. This will take you to a site where you can pay using a credit card or via Paypal.
Classes will be split up into sessions based on different themes. At the beginning of each class we will ask questions, diagram ideas, and brainstorm solutions to create unique projects. Children will use a plethora of art materials including but not limited to: oil pastels, watercolor, colored pencils, crayons, markers, felt, paper mache, clay, model magic, and more!
What should I do if  I know my child is going to miss a class? If you know in advance that your child will not be able to make it to specific classes, please let us know before the session begins and we will prorate the session for you.  If your child misses a class unexpectedly due to illness or a change of events, schedule a make-up class for your child to attend at our studio.  You can choose a class to attend for  a make-up from our class schedule .  Please send us an e-mail or give us a phone call to let us know when you would like your child to come in.  We will not refund for classes missed unexpectedly.
