Creative Tot Mornings
The Art Spark is offering a Grown-Up & Me class for toddlers on
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10 AM
at our studio.
Creative Tot Mornings are specifically designed to help your growing toddler explore art for the first time in a variety of different ways. Your child will have the opportunity each class to engage in new and exciting art materials and strengthen fine motor skills such as lifting a paint brush, squeezing, pinching, and sculpting! Our classes are PROCESS based. We know that this may be the first time your child is using a paintbrush, sculpting with clay, pinching, cutting, and creating! Therefore, our projects are not about creating an end product, it’s about learning how to use a variety of materials, identify the names of materials, try new techniques in art, and strengthen fine motor skills, and have FUN!

What's The Format Of Creative Tots Morning?
Length: 1 Hour (10-11am)
Ages: 18 months- 4yrs. + Grown Up
Each class is designed to help your child develop an understanding of the world around them. Classes begin with story time. Toddlers and their grownups will listen, watch, and experience a different book or story each week. Following the story, toddlers and their grownups will be presented with activity centers & or projects designed to SPARK imagination & foster growth in your tot. For example: If we read the book: The Rainbow Fish toddlers would complete their morning by creating different projects and participating in activities:
- painting ocean water with different textured paint brushes
- creating a sand dough that can be rolled, pinched, and sculpted
- looking at shells, coral, starfish, and more in our very own touch pond

Doors open at 9:55 AM
10:00-10:05 play with magna-tiles and clean up
10:05-10:15 Introductions and read a book + sing The Art Spark song
10:15-10:40 Read a book and do relevant art and activities
10:40-10:50 Complimentary snack (Coffee/Sparkling Water for Adults and Organic Cheddar Bunnies/Organic applesauce pouches for tots)
10:50-11:00 Play in our playroom
11:00 Farewell with a sticker

What's The Cost
4 Pack of Classes: $72
10 Pack of Classes: $160
Creative Tots is paid for on a class by class basis. Purchase a punch pass and come as you choose. Please note that each week it’s the same lesson each day Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. (Sometimes toddlers don’t mind coming to the same class more than once, but you might!) Punch pass can be used for more than one child as well as for our Creative Explorer Program. A 4 pack is $72 and a 10 pack is $160. You can also drop-in and pay via credit card $25 per class. This program runs through the school year but, we take a break during the summer months (we will have summer camps during this time). *This program will begin the Tuesday, September 8th 2026. Please note that classes remaining on this pass will roll over to next year.
F.A.Q.
Do I need to let The Art Spark know we're attending?
No, you do not need to let us know! We want our Creative Tot parents to feel like our program works with YOUR schedule. You can come every week, every other week, or whenever you have a free day. That is the beauty of our punch pass! All you need to do is show up with your toddler ready to have fun.
Where can I see examples of class projects?
Is it okay to bring my baby(ies) with my toddler to class?
Absolutely! We have a changing table in our bathroom, private areas to nurse if you need to, etc.
I have an 18 month old in the program, and their older sibling who's off school, can I bring both to Creative Tots?
Yes! That is absolutely fine. We are flexible with the ages for this reason! Please note if the sibling is going to participate in any way (eat snack, do the craft, etc) you will use two classes from your pass.

What age is Creative Tot mornings best for?
We find that tots who are 18 months and older is the best age to begin the program. We understand that tots who are 18 months are likely to be experiencing a class for the first time! It is okay if they need to walk around, take a break, or even let out some cries. Classes are aimed for toddlers ages 18 months – 3 years.
How do I know if my 18 month old is ready?
If your 18 month old can:
1.) Follow simple directions with your assistance
2.) Can hold a crayon or paintbrush
3.) Does not try to eat objects/materials constantly or can follow directions to not put art materials/objects in his/her mouth. If your 18 month old is still doing these things, best to wait a few extra months!
