Our Lessons Start With Fun First!
Our homeschooling art classes are an opportunity for your child to learn a variety of techniques in art and explore imagination! Our classes are designed specifically to introduce your child to a broad range of art forms including but not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, clay, paper mache, sewing, bead working, plaster, and more! Each session we will explore different techniques in art and brainstorm ideas to come up with unique projects that each student is proud of. Please note that art history may be taught during some programs, but is not the focus of this program. Instead, we seek to focus on imagining projects based on a variety of techniques in art based around a theme. Our Homeschool class is held on Thursdays from 1-2:30 PM. You can purchase a punch pass to come on whichever Thursdays you want! Below you find an outline of class session themes we will follow throughout the school year.
Session One
Me, Myself and Art!
Dates: Sept 4, 11, 18, 25 Oct 2, 9
Get ready to freely express your personal style, inspiration, and interests! We will be painting portraits, sculpting totem poles, watercolor painting, and creating your very own spirit animal, and more!
Session Two
Awesome Autumn
Dates: Oct 16, 23, 30 Nov 6, 13, 20
Let's celebrate the explosion of colors in Autumn! Each week we will create new artwork inspired by this change of seasons. Think acorn houses, mixed media collages, painted leaves, and more!
Session Three
Gifts Galore
Dates:

It's the season of giving! Make a gift for your friends, family, or maybe even yourself! We will create pins, keychains, pinch pots, and more. We will also brainstorm our own gift ideas to create!
Session Four
Wonders of the World
Dates:
Jan 29, Feb 5 12, 19 26, Mar 5
Let's travel the world and pick a style of art from fascinating places and traditions around the world. We may create masks inspired from Carnival in Brazil, Piñata's from Mexico, jute wrapped bracelets from the Congos, decorated elephants from Holi, and so much more!
Session Five
Creative Critters

Nothing is more fun than making art inspired by our favorite animals. We can design mosaics, sculpt, paint, stuff, watercolor, and build our favorite friends. Students will be encouraged to create their personal favorite animals!
Session Six
Sailing Into Summer
Dates:
April 23, 30 May 7, 14
Let's set sail and explore an ocean of possibilities! We will create undersea creatures, tie dye seashells, create pirate treasure boxes, learn to resist painting, sculpt sea habitats and more!

Do I need to let you know when my child is attending?
No, you do not need to let us know! We want our Homeschool parents to feel like our program works with YOUR schedule. You can come every week, every other week, or whenever you have a free day. That is the beauty of our punch pass! All you need to do is show up!
Can I stay for the class?
Our classes are drop off only and are designed for children to develop independence, confidence, and learn new techniques in art. Parents are always welcome to come inside and see what projects we are working on at the end!
